A lot has changed since March 2020. Virtual and blended instruction is on the rise, as we have had to adapt to a global pandemic. We have grown considerably throughout the process, but so have the issues that accompany learning in a technology driven world! Students don’t have to look very hard to find answers to test questions because of programs like Quizlet, and for our more adventurous students, there are companies out there that will complete projects for a fee. We must be ready! We must Google-proof learning experiences in our classes. This session will show practical ways teachers of any core subject can create assignments and materials that cannot be found using a search engine, ensuring that students are learning, even when completing digital assignments and projects. Teachers will be able to create meaningful assessments that test a student’s application of skills and content in a way that ensures students are learning, not Googling answers.
